The secret passage to the forbidden garden

£600

Oil on canvas, 100 x 100 cm

When I was a child growing up in the world of make-believe, I often had dreams of walking down a secret tunnel. At the end of that tunnel was a beautiful garden, and it was called the forbidden garden, where there are many beautiful flowers, shrubs, bushes, multi-coloured trees, a stream of wonderful fishes, and birds of a variety of colours. As a child, I felt I was not allowed to play in the forbidden garden. Just like Adam and Eve could not eat the forbidden apple. This feeling was due to my upbringing as a Christian. This colourful passage is a memory from my past.
