Depression

£450

60 × 80 × 1.8 cm, acrylic on canvas

My time in prison was a learning stage for me about men and their state of mind. I discovered that many prisoners are mentally unstable. Some were psychotic, and others were maniacally depressant. They were also unpredictable in their behaviour. By observing and understanding what caused their problems, which made them behave the way they did in prison and outside prison, helps me to realise that my depression and stress while I was in prison was a minor phase compared to the disturbing behaviour of violent prisoners. This is my presentation of a man waiting and trying to release himself from his madness.
